Report on Julie and Scott

said...

Julie & Scott's move went pretty well. They got everything (well just about everything) loaded on the truck, with the help of a couple of hired hands. The drive to Iowa was long and tiring, but all things considered, it went very well. At their request, the realtor had hired three men and a very strong lady to help them unload. It was done it two hours. They were grateful for the help as it was hard getting things up to the attic room and down to the basement.

As of today, Julie has signed papers, Scott has interviewed for a job he had applied for a couple of weeks ago, they have bought a washer, dryer and stove and had them delivered and installed. They love taking walks on the property especially down by the stream which runs completely through their property. They have met some neighbors including a 10 year old boy who baked them a loaf of bread and brought it over! Ruth and Adam drove out today to lend a hand and Adam will probably have a chance to get acquainted with that boy. Julie sounds very happy and upbeat. I hope when she gets her computer up and running she will join us and give us a report.

Congratulations, Carol on adding a comment.

Thanks for the report, mom. Glad Julie & Scott survived the move. We all know how fun those can be. We're sad to see them go, but happy they have found such a nice place. Looking forward to hearing and seeing more about it.
